Electrical Hardware Designer

Nexeya is currently seeking a qualified Inside Sales Representative  for our Markham office.

We are looking for an experienced electronic engineer responsible to design, maintain and validate electronic modules used for automated test equipment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and validate the performance of electronic modules manufactured by Nexeya Canada. 

  • Take responsibility for assigned projects by following instructions, specifications, guidelines, safety rules, and industry-standard practices.

  • Troubleshoot and analyze malfunctions in electronic hardware from end-user level down to component level. Generate root cause analysis and reports.

  • Design new modules from the provided specification. Create schematics & layouts, generate bills of materials, engineering change orders, and test procedures.

  • Maintain existing modules and propose their improvements.

  • Ensuring all equipment and products meet health and safety regulations.

  • Occasional traveling might be required.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electronics.

  • A minimum of 7 years experience in the field.

Experience and Skills:

  • Must demonstrate experience in designing measurement modules (small signals, AC, DC, filtering, arc detection, etc.).

  • Must demonstrate experience in designing high-voltage power supplies.

  • Must demonstrate experience in mixed signals electronic design.

  • Experience with embedded firmware programming (preferably Microchip).

  • Familiar with CE, CSA, UL, RoHS, certification, and standards.

  • Knowledge of document control software.

  • Knowledge of the Mentor Graphics tool is an asset.

  • Excellent soldering skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency at working in a team-based environment.

 

Relationships:

  • Perform other duties related to the position or as required for the overall benefit of Nexeya Canada.

  • Report directly to the Director of Engineering.
